WHAT IS FORGE?
Forge was born from an established sports apparel company headquartered in Magna Utah. At the time there was very little competition and the we were poised to take advantage of the new market opening in the wake of the growing e-sports trend.
We initially believed that we wouldn't need a new brand identity, but after some initial focus group testing we found that gamers preferred a more exaggerated and empowering brand.
WHAT DID I DO?
My role on the project was initial brand development, which included the creation of the brand logo and surrounding imagery, sponsorship outreach and event coordination. We broke out in the spring of 2014 with some success.

Forging an identity
When setting out to creating an identity we sought out imagery that could show the power of personal customization.
We wanted our users to feel bold and unshackled regardless of creative ability or technical restraints.
The forge helm inspires the raw excitement of creating something new with your own hands and gives confidence that the garment you wear is built with pride.
